Almost there!

Uncovering my jaguar ancestor guide one layer at a time!

After spending some time meditating with this painting, I realized that the right eye of this beloved guide reminded me of my mother. I felt like I was looking directly into her eyes once again. Most of the animal guides I work with are masculine, but this one is definitely female.

A few more sessions of tweaking and refining and she will be complete.

Different subject matter! Back, way way back, I us

Different subject matter! Back, way way back, I used to paint landscapes and flora more than fauna. This is a throw back to my 2022 trip to Arizona. On my last day of the trip, I spent a very hot 105C at the botanical gardens there which are filled with cacti. 🌵

I’ve been experimenting with textured canvas, which has been quite freeing.

I’m only displaying my art at The Whispering Oak in Cobourg this year. I am displaying a few new pieces there that aren’t available online and don’t have prints. Debbie Young has created such a beautiful and welcoming space! Stop in to see her precious wares, book and energy healing or coaching session with her or an Indian scalp massage and facial with Chris or a reading with Blake.

I haven’t posted much lately but I have been busy! I have 4 paintings on the go right now. These are 2 of them. I’ve been exploring some new/old materials- water soluble graphite, rice paper and Brusho pigments.
